Laredo Burger

Ingredients

Burger:  
2 lb 900 g Ground beef
1/4 c 50 mL HP Sauce
6 6 onion kaiser buns
Sauce:    
1 c 250 mL mayonnaise
1/4 c 50 mL Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp 2 mL tabasco
1/2 - 1 tsp 2-5 mL savory (ground)
1/2 c 125 mL ED Smith ketchup
1 tsp 5 mL chopped garlic
1 tsp 5 mL chopped shallots or onions
1/2 tsp 2 mL paprika

Instructions

Burgers

  1. Combine ground beef and HP sauce and form into patties. You should get approximately 6 portions (6 oz/170 g)
  2. Grill patties until the internal temperature reaches 160°F or 70°C.
  3. Toast Kaiser buns.

Sauce

  1. Combine all the sauce ingredients.
  2. Place on top, or under patty - dependent on your preference. You will use about 2 oz (55 g) of sauce per burger.

Serving Suggestions

For added interest you could garnish with some of the following: Grilled tomato and cucumber slices, julienne of peppers with dill pickle or jalae no pepper, bacon strips and even jalapeno spiced cheese.
