Grilled Beef Schnitzel

Ingredients

3.3 lb 1.5 kg Top Sirloin Steak
16 oz 450 mL tomato pasta sauce or similar product
2 lb 900 g Penne, cooked al dente (firm to the bite)
8 oz 225 g red peppers, sliced
8 oz 225 g green peppers, sliced
16 oz 450 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 oz 60 g basil leaves, sliced
16 oz 450 g mozzarella cheese, grated
3 oz 90 g parmesan cheese, grated
    steak seasoning, to taste
    sliced olives and onions, optional

Instructions

  1. Pound and flatten steaks between 2 sheets of plastic wrap to thickness of 6 mm (1/4").
  2. On dinner plate, spread pasta sauce and top with cooked penne.
  3. Sprinkle with red and green peppers, mushrooms, basil and top with cheeses.
  4. Place plate under the salamander or hot oven for one minute.
  5. Broil or grill beef schnitzel to preferred doneness. Cut into finger shaped pieces and place on top of penne.
  6. Garnish and serve.
